I was going to tell you all about the log cabin quilt I'm working on for my dad. He's a log cabin republican so it will have a very special meaning to him. I hope to have it finished by his birthday. But since you all are very unwelcoming to newbs then I won't discuss it with you. Good day!
Siren9patch,

Just check back through the recent posts, I have been a member here for 18 months and they are all very helpful and supportive, I visit here EVERY day and can only presume you were caught up at the weekend with a very unusual problem with some unsavoury characters who infiltrated our lovely forum, and a number of posts had to be deleted as this group posted several nasty and offensive messages.

Please give this forum a second chance, and I am sure you won't regret it, sorry for your frustration,

Izy

Nature's miracle is great for taking smells out and I dont think it harms the fabric but i would test it for sure. Also vinagear is my choice for a lot of things.. And soaking for awhile. I had a cat that would pee on everything! So what i did save i used natures miracle and also vinagear.

i think everybody is getting waaaaaaaay to suspicious. every person who's joined since last weekend is now treated like a suspect in a mass murder case.

go back through the history of some of the things we've asked and told each other ... both in seriousness and in jest. it can get pretty wild and downright tacky around here. we've always liked it that way.

we've talked about rotten toenails, all types of animal byproducts, illnesses and ailments in excruciating and horrifying detail. we have argued and agreed about all sorts of oddball subjects. look up at the title of this thread, folks. it's about POOP for cryin' out loud. if a person can start a sincere conversation about poop ... and get responses from members who sincerely want to help, i should think we could be a bit more tolerant of a few other things, too.

howze come all of a sudden we're all supposed to be on our best sunday manners? it's one thing to tar and feather punks like the ones we "met" last weekend. they obviously had to go

but the level of hypersensitivity and suspicion is getting ridiculous. it's sucking the fun right out of it.

let's save the hysterics for a real emergency, can we please? can we? can we? huh? puleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeze?

Patrice, I have no idea why, if or when Siren9patcher's messages were deleted, if in fact they were, I was merely attempted to pacify her and explain what a GREAT forum we got going here

I realize my post was deleted too because i was getting off topic. What i'm wonder is, all the other new member posts on this thread that were deleted, is it because of trolling, or is it because some of it was hard to tell, and let's just erase it all so there's no hard feeling? I do see now what you mean patrice, this was nothing compared to last week, so maybe i too should have given the benefit of the doubt? I'm not sure, but i think one response was rather vulgar, so im wondering

i rarely delete something just because it wanders off topic. if i started doing that, i'd have to delete about 75% of our posts. (and about 95% of my own.) we doooooo love our little tangents.

if i remember correctly, i deleted yours, too, because it wouldn't have made sense without the one that really needed to go. nobody would have known what you were talking about. then you'd have spent the rest of the day explaining. i was just trying to leave you some time to work on your quilts.

i will be soooooo glad when school starts ... and MY kid graduated 10 years ago.

I just wanted to thank everybody for your suggestions on how to clean our quilt. The Oxyclean worked great and then I also got some of the Nature's Miracle stuff from the pet store. Unfortonately, while we were at work she jumped up on the bed and had ANOTHER accident. I've been scrubbing and scrubbing and it looks like it's coming out too. Tomorrow we're taking her to the vet and having her put to sleep. She will be missed, but enough is enough.
