I won the auction on EBay for a Featherweight 221 and was I excited even though it was more then I planned to pay. I paid the charge on Monday and the seller assured me he would get it out quickly. Thursday I wrote him that I hadn't gotten a tracking number yet and he then said he was just finishing packing it up and would have it right out. Well it's now Friday and no tracking number. Am I just worrying for nothing or does it usually take this long to get notification that something has been shipped after an auction?

I have had quick shipping and some that took as long as 2 weeks to ship. Just depends on the seller. I bought mine on Ebay and love it! Enjoy when you get it.

It depends on the seller. This one is obviously slower then molasses in December. Good luck!

Write to them again - and under the feedback section, be sure to mention that they did not respond to your e-mails in a timely manner.

Some dont even notify they have shipped the item. Seems to be hit or miss with my purchases.

How does the seller's other feedback look? Any mention of slow-shipping problems?

As long as the seller has good feedback, I wouldn't worry too much.

He has only positive feedback. I guess I'm just like a kid waiting for Christmas morning but at 68 I don't like to even buy green banana's so I'm hoping it comes soon.

Be patient a little longer...what seems super slow to you may be fast for him depending upon his volume and what's happening at his place...be careful to leave negative feedback...can't be taken away...I used to sell on Ebay and strove hard to earn 100% positive...then it happened...just a neutral and ruined my score...the woman gave me someone elses feedback and sure was sorry, but nothing could be done to change it...I'm VERY careful about damaging someone's reputation because of that. It's been over 3 years and it still makes me angry when I think about it...packing up and mailing a sewing machine is NOT something you want done in a hurry...you want it to come to you well packed, right?

Per Pay-Pal policy the seller has 7 days to ship. That means they have to get it sent out no later then 7 days after the auction is won. HTH
