    Default Embroidery machine

I'm thinking about buying a Brother PE770 embroidery machine. Can anyone tell me how they work?
can you design your own patterns? I will only be using it for my own crafting, but will want to make a lot of my own designs.
Years ago I had a Deco 600 that I could do my own designs with, but I stopped using it for years and sold it about 5 years ago, not knowing I would one day get back into it...
Please leave me any info you have, so I can make up my mine..
    Thanks for all your help....

I'm not familiar with that machine, but saw your post and no replies.
Did a search on the machine and found the following:
Onscreen Automatic Density Adjustment (STB) No
    My Custom Design™ Feature No
    Color Shuffling™ Function No
Compatible with Brother Embroidery Software Yes
iBroidery®.com - Ready Yes. See www.ibroidery.com for compatible designs

Apparently you can bring in designs on a flash drive and use an editing software. (look at their website for specifications)
If you want to design your own motifs, you would need digitizing software-I'm not sure you can do this, you need to research a little further.

    Hope that helps a little.

It seems that the software is where you can create your own designs. I use embird but don't really design my own I just combine designs I buy with alphabets that I purchase...embird seems to be the most popular but I don't know if it will be extensive enough for you...then you just save the design as a file and use it on your machine.

I have a PE700II and there is no "software" that came with it. BUT there are many several programs available so you can design (digitize) your own patterns. This is usually true with any embroidery machine you buy. There's always "extras" you can buy!! Brother's own software is PE Design and PE Design Lite. They are too expensive for me. I use Sew What Pro, Embroidery Magic 2 and Monogram Wizard Plus Extended. These were less expensive and allow you to do basic lettering, monogramming and SWP and EM2 has digitizing functions. There are demos on each of these so that you can play with the features before purchasing.

    Good Luck!

I use Floriani and Artista (Bernina) software with my Brother embroidery machine. They both work great.

Thanks for the help...I new I would have to buy extra sofeware, just didn't know how good it worked...
Its hard going from a high dollar machine (for me cause I paid 3,500.00) like Deco. to a cheaper machine, but I now know I won't use it that much to pay big money...
I didn't know that I could different companies software to make my own designs. I use to make lots of designs by buying coloring books and scanning them into my computer then into my software. You can do anything you want to make like that with just a outline, or you could when I was doing it with my deco software..wish I hadn't sold my machine..that'll teach me hahahaha...
Thanks again for the help, I can still use more input..

I bought the PE770 last week as an addition to my 12 needle commercial machine. I wanted something small to do one color lace, bookmarks and quilt labels plus I have a large collection of small spools of embroidery thread that didn't work well on the large machine. The PE770 is meeting all my expectations - excellent stitch-outs, not too noisy and easy to use. Right now I have both machines running. The PE770 is doing lace snowflakes which will be inserted in Christmas cards. The 12 needle is doing a large cross stitch pillow design. I use several software programs for embroidery....Buzz Tools, Embird and Floriani. Just depends on what I want to do that day.
Don't get hung up on the price difference. My first embroidery machine was a New Home 8000 which cost over $3,000. The PE770 was a tad over $600 plus a super bonus package. (PM and I'll give you the dealer info). The PE770 runs circles around that New Home and it has features the 12 needle doesn't. The technology has changed greatly just like computers and the pricing has dropped accordingly.

Good morning! I am trying to use my brother pe770 and adia cloth. Is there a way to use both of them together. the first few patterns are loose and I can see the holes. I want to get my stitches tight and look like perfection. Any assistance or advise would be greatly appreciated.
