Nena - I have those also - I got them with my Bernina 180 (upgraded to a 185) sewing/embroidery machine. They were new then around 2000. They can also be used in some other Bernina embroidery machines I am sure.
Are they CDs or cards? If they are CDs you may be able to translate them to other embroidery formats for different brands of machines using a PC embroidery application. Just have to make sure that your embroidery machine will accomodate the size of the design. Some embroidery CD's won't read, but many will.
