If you don't want to do binding and prefer a facing on a GFG quilt....this you tube video shows you how to finish the irregular edges.
I know some of you are making the garden quilts and thought it would be helpful to you. A little extra work, but what the heck...no pain, no gain...right?

That was interesting. Much nicer finish than trying to hand sew a binding. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this! I'm quilting an antique Grandmother's Flower Garden and had no idea how to finish the edges. :D

My Mom made several of these quilts over the years.....but she never had irregular edges to her flower garden quilts. She always squared up the outside and corner edges and had an even edge so I never knew that most flower garden quilts had irregular edges until I saw this video.
I'm glad that this video was helpful and interesting to those of you who replied.
