All great ideas. One caution. Do not use invisible thread of any kind in a baby quilt or gift. If the thread comes loose small baby fingers and toes can be caught in the thread and injured.

Mengler that is a good point on the invisible thread - I don't use it because my machine is a prima donna and wont accept it. I had to revert to a neutral color Guterman thread which is why I use the fabric pens and heat set so they dont run.
