I would outline all the blocks and borders, then use a large meander of stipple on the rest.... Love your quilt, outstanding work!

I think you did a marvelous job. I just hope that the clothing fabric last as long as normal cotton fabric.

I think it looks great! I see the Vegas block but not a second one. I wouldn't bother ripping. Perfect as is.

I like your idea of finishing it off with a dark blue border. I think for an extra punch and thinking outside the lines, rather inside the lines, I'd finish all the blue stars within the dark blue border. You know, making the dark blue border wider than what would finish the light blue stars...

It looks wonderful just as it is! She will treasure this and not look at it with the critiquing eye you do as the creator. Your ideas for the borders and stipling to finish sound perfect. You should be quite proud of your work.
BTW....it took me quite a while to find the Vegas blocks. Their similarity does not jump out at you. If it did I would help you rip it out , but I don't think you need to.

Your quilt looks lovely. I think your ideas for the borders sound great. By the way, you are very kind to make this for your friend. I am sure she will deeply cherish it.

I think an over all stipple would work very well. I love the quilt.
