Fleece and cotton???

I did a Rail Fence with cotton for top, fleece as batting and flannel as backing. My DGD loves it. I did SID and I didn't have any problems. Before putting together everything was washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer. I just used a regular needle. BrendaK
