Has anyone made a bag using the flexible spring hinges for the closure? I was given a bunch of these and not sure how to use. I did get one taken apart so I have the hinge in 2 pieces. From what I've found it seems that I just make a bag with a casing at the top and slide the hinges into the casings and then put the pins back in the ends to hold it all together. The hinges I have open into a hexagon and I'm not sure if I need to make the bag extra big to accommodate the hinge when it is open.
Hope this makes sense.
I've made lots of bags but this is something new to me.
Thanks for any help

Yes you make an open ended casing for both the front and back.
http://u-handbag.typepad.com/uhandbl...en-bag--1.html this is a generic pattern. It's easy once you make one you'll be a pro.

Thanks Pam. I've seen that site. My question now is, do the ends of the hinge just stick out so they are visible? I'm wondering if there is a way to completely enclose them. Guess I'll just have to experiment.
