Default Flowers in the border audition

I asked if I should put flowers in this border and got more 'yes' than 'no' responses. So, I decided to prepare the applique pieces and audition it to see if I like it or not. I decided on 6 petals to match the 6 sides of the hexis.... and colors that were in the quilt help, too. So, I'm asking your opinion again. Do you think it helps the eye flow across the quilt and pick up all the elements? Or do you think it's an awful idea and plain would be better? It's just pinned in place..... it can be unpinned very easily.

I like the floral applique addition -- adds a lot to the quilt. Definitely gorgeous.

I love the idea of the flowers, but something is bothering me about this. I think the green in the applique vine is too dark compared to the green in the OBW, and it might detract from the center of the quilt. But that is being very picky, and it could just be the way the colors show up in the photo. Your quilt is beautiful.

I love the aplique and yes I do think it makes the flow across the quilt. My eyes traveled from top right, zigzaging through the quilt to the bottom left

I like the flowers very much. You've given me ideas for a top I'm finishing up. I just might do something very similar.

I agree I love the applique. I do think a lighter green vine may work better. Also I would use small med and large Hexies for the flowers! Group3 in the corners 1 large and 2 med. Just my thoughts. I do love your as well. They flow on the borders which I like adorned rather than plain! Luann ps Great job love the quilt!
