Does anyone own the Fons and Porter design wall that's advertised in the Connecting Threads catalog? It looks like something I could use but it doesn't say what the wall is made from. The size is 60" x 72", good size, and is rather reasonable at $19.99. My DH made me a design wall out of a very heavy piece of lumber that would take Hulk Hogan to lift so I have to put it on a chair to use it. This looks easier to handle.

My design wall is a huge piece of batting hung on a rod held up by two nails the wall. Works awesome and it's cheap!

My design wall is a plastic table cloth that has a white cotton back. I just put it on the wall with push pins and the squares stick to it.

Yes I bought it. All it is is a flannel backed plastic with a square grid you can see thru the flanned so it is a thin layer.
It has grommets at the top so you can put it on a thin curtain rod. A cheap table clothe is just as good and alot cheaper.

I bought it for my sister for Christmas... she's unsure whether she will use it or not... I liked it... it is fabric and has a grid on one side. It has large grommets in the top so it can hang. They recommend using against a flat wall so it will work best. I don't have a wall that big so I gave it to sis!

I don't have Fon's and Porter, but my DH made me one out of foam core from Home Depot, it is 1/2 thick. covered it with a dense batting or felt type and you can stick pins in it. It is really light. Love it.

In my shop I have a flannel sheet hung on the wall.
Works wonderful, can be washed, and was free from the linnen cabnet.

I covered a big sheet of insulboard (it has a silver backing) from Lowe's, about $8 on sale, with felt. I stapled it to my wall and it's fantastic. It's easy to cut the board to make smaller design boards.

Thanks to all who replied about the Fons and Porter design wall. I have a flannel backed table cloth on one wall but thought this might be easier to hang up in another room that my new empty nest has left for me but I guess I'll save the money and use the large one and the one pinned to the wall and spend the money saved on material instead ;-)
