Is there an alternative to this spray or a less expensive one than 17 dollars a can at Joann's?

June Tailor has a basting spray. Wal-Mart USED to carry it--was around $5-7/can. Mine no longer does. Maybe google it and see if someone is carrying it for less.

You can buy it on line at a much better price...The 505 is the best. I used it for the first time recently and it was amazing. I have used JuneTaylor brand before and would never buy it again!! What a sticky mess it was. The 505 I used to do a queen size quilt. It worked so well, it was the easiest quilt I ever machine quilted. No basting, no pins, and it stayed together like it was one piece of fabric...I would never use anything else now!!

I seen a video one of the girls here put a link to the lady used this stuff, looks like a great idea. I have heard of using an adhesive spray before, but being in the upholstery business for so long we used the heavier strength stuff.

Yeah, the only thing I can get here is the 505, and it's not cheap. I know there are two sizes of can, I can only get the small can and it's 17 dollars too :( However, as much as I complain about the price, it's great stuff so I keep buying it.
JoAnns doens't exist here, and only the items that are 12.99 and under go on sale at 40-50%... it sucks so much!

I buy it from jhittle online. Here is the link:
http://jhittlesewing.funoverload.com...new_items.html

They send out an ad twice a week. I buy all my rotary cutter blades here because they are $14.90 for 10. The Schmetz sewing machine needles are usually 99 cents for a pack. Fantastic bargains! If the mdse you want is not in the ad, then call them and they'll tell you how to order it. I bought a sewing machine vacuum cleaner for $7.99 from them last week!

They are great folks to deal with - I even bought my EQ6 from them - they were so much cheaper. Also - if you buy from them, call to order. Their little "grab bag" was filled with all sorts of stuff.
