interesting, because I use my right foot to drive and my left foot to sew. Never occurred to me to consider sewing with my right foot. Not that I need to, but I'm going to give it a go today to see how it feels ;-)

Everyone had great ideas. You can also try putting a small, thin book under your foot and leave the pedal on the floor next to it. If your knees are back tightly against the chair, that cuts off your circulation as well. Try moving forward in the chair a little. Getting up and moving frequently is the best idea, I think. We get so involved in what we're doing we don't move!

Make sure your whole foot is on the pedal, not just your toes.
