Ok am I doing something wrong or did I buy the wrong kind????? I wanted to make a label by printing on my muslin...so I used the bubble jet ect. dried/then went to iron onto the freezer paper so I could run it through the paper, and nope the material wont stick to the freezer paper....I have used freezer paper yrs ago with no problem, so whats up with that? :(

The freezer paper I use is:Reynolds Freezer Paper (one side is plastic coated) It is in blue packaging and I purchase it in the baggies, waxed paper, sandwich bags, foil, etc. Section of the grocery store.

Sometimes the fabric may have alot of sizing on it , and it will not adhere to the freezer paper. Check it out by taking a piece of scrap fabric that has been washed and see if it holds.

make sure you bought 'freezer paper' in the big blue box and not 'wax paper...wax paper will not work-is a totally different product-- use a regular dry iron on a cotton setting (if your fabric is cotton) and press the shiny (plastic) side of the freezer paper to the fabric.

if you have had the paper for a while it may have lost some of the whatever that makes it stick. That is the problem I had with mine. Had used it some time ago, but would not stick to the mat. no matter what i did.

Interesting, mine is at least 10 years old and still works great...Reynolds in the blue box.

I just bought a box of Reynolds Freezer Paper to use for sewing. Not sure what Ill use it for...although, I just cut out some patterns using it. That was cool. I also put the date on the box...just curious on how long one of those big boxes will last me. LOL

Kind of related to your subject ... I had a heck of a time trying to get the freezer paper and muslin through the printer a while back ... it kept jamming. Then I figured out how to set the printer for thick paper and it worked beautifully. I think most printers have this feature.
