this is not true, the company tells you that it wasn't designed for fabric and to caution. I use them and love them but that's not what they were designed for. If I bought some that seemed dried out I'd take them back. I have some that are over 5yrs old and they are still going strong.

UH, I realized that I had miss read your words after I posted, I wasn't trying to be rude or anything. Alot of people think they are made for fabric and since alot of fabric stores sell them I can understand why they'd think that too. I've been in several classes where the teacher was using them. Have a great day

I've used Frixion pens, but recently bought the Ultra-Clean Crayola crayons - not the markers. They worked very well for me. I took a scrap piece of my white background fabric and heavily marked it with each one of the 26 colors. Then washed it in cold water. There wasn't a trace of color afterward. (Confidentially, I think that Crayola substituted soap for the wax.)
I bought the crayons because I was marking quilt lines on a queen-size quilt and I know that Frixion pens are a little expensive on a "per foot marked" comparison. The box of 26 crayons were under $3. Plus there's three or four light color crayons that would be good on dark fabric. And these were absolutely made for use on fabric.
