More about Labels - How about Raffle or Auction Quilts?
Most of my charity quilting is for groups such as Project Linus, where the label is standard. However, I have wondered what kind of label is appropriate for special charity quilts, such as those for a raffle or auction.
What do you think? Sometimes the new recipient might want the label to show the charity that received the financial benefit, since they supported it. Or maybe not. I don't know that they care who the quilter is, but they might like a date and location. Maybe some blank space for them to write or embroider the name of whoever gets the quilt, especially if they are giving it as a gift?
I am interested in hearing what others do for a label in this case.
Thanks!

I would not put my name on a quilt unless it was going to family or friends. For auction or raffle quilts, I think I would put the name of the organization and the date, possibly the name of the quilt pattern and care instructions. Blank space for the new owner to write in sounds like a good idea.
