I am in awe of the quilting on this quilt, and I do like the grey. In most cases where I've seen grey I have liked it a lot, but I'm in the process of using it in a quilt now and not sure that I like it in MY quilt, but hopefully that will change as the quilt gets assembled.

It's a beautiful quilt and the quilting is spectacular, but I also am not loving the gray so much. But, to each his own.

OMG! Did anyone zoom over that quilt and see the quilting? It took my breath away! Gorgeous!

I do own some fabrics that have med gray with a yellow/gold in it and those I love. But other than that I am not a big fan. I guess it depends on what else is put along side the gray.

My granddaughter has asked me to make her another quilt (made 2 for her last year) and she wants it in yellow and gray. Can't wait to get started.

I feel rather lukewarm about the whole gray trend. Don't hate it but probably wouldn't include in my projects.

I think gray goes well with black and white for piecing, but not as a background color, well at least not in the quilt on the link. Gray can work with other colors, too. I can see it with blue, burgundy, maybe even red (although I'm not a fan of red).

I HATE grey and yellow and it seems to be all over the place

I'm with you--not wild about the greys all over the place. The other color combo I see everywhere, which I really dislike, is all the light blues with baby-poop green. Yuck!
