I have just bound a quilt, 6' x 6.6" using just one pillowcase

I un-stitched it, opened and pressed and got 14, yep 14, yards of binding from just one.

I thought what a marvelous use of all those odd ones tucked in your linen cupboards for binding scrappy and other odd projects

I bet you could rip the pillow case apart and resew it to make cointinuous binding.

Great idea! I have dozens upon dozens of mismatched pillow cases in the linen closet. They will promptly be moved to the sewing room.

I have also use pillowcases to store quilts...much better than storing quilts in plastic bags....this is a great idea though to use for binding...will have to go through my spare ones and see if any could be used for that.

I love that idea !! But if you have some that would not work for binding ( color or pattern) you can always make dresses
