I only use this tread. For my applique, I also run the thread through some Thread Heaven. LOVE IT.

I love Gutterman also! Watch for sales at Joanns, they have it on sale for 50% off quite often. I usually buy my thread stash during the sale.

Love Gutterman's. I get more of it every time Joann's has a sale on it. It's great thread. My machine service man told me to look on the spool and make sure it says "Made in Germany" not "Made in Mexico." He says there IS a difference and the Germany one is the better of the two.
I can't say because I've never had the one from Mexico. 8-)

I will have to watch for this!! I love Gutterman's thread.
I use only this brand for piecing and also use the Hand Quilting thread.
You have me curious about the Made in Mexico.. Any idea what stores sell that product vs. the Made in Germany product?

I use mostly Gutterman's thread. It is the one I feel more comfortable hand quilting or machine piecing with.

Gutterman is now being made in Mexico and you are correct it is not as good. I've gone back to Mettler.
