I completed my Civil War Tribute BOM quilt...brought it home and added the binding...stitched down the binding...stuffed the quilt into a bag to take to guild for "Show and Share"...restuffed the quilt into the bag after it was shown at guild...stuffed into the washing maching...stuffed it into the dryer...spread it out on the bed...got into bed under it...and then noticed a little flash of metal. A three-inch pin, left by my quilter...appeared about five inches from the edge of the quilt.

The quilt was opened up, pin removed, and quilt sewn back up...and no one was injured in the process.

Just wanted to share with others who can relate. <smile>

Good thing you found it.
I still find pins in quilts that my DGM made many years ago.

That could have been really bad! Glad you found it before someone was hurt.
