This is my first quilt and, I am using the tie method instead of stitching. The thread is already slipping from the square knot that I'm using. Does anyone know What i should do? Is there a glue stick that I can use to put a drop on each tie to keep the knots from undoing?. Thanks for any advice.

There is a product called fraycheck that will do the trick. It is invisible after it dries, but only use the tiniest bit. It is a bit stiff if you use too much. Next quilt you might try a different thread, and tie the square knot with an extra tie, like 3 halves of a square knot. Happy quilting!
