we had a store here for a bit where they sold all different types of fabrics (upholstery, cottons, etc) along with notions and some sewing machines. For a while, they carried a line of fabric from the designer of "trading spaces from TLC. they weren't really popular here (i'm outside of Philly, PA), but I think they are more popular in the southern states.

I know the word "Home" was in the name and the name was a compound word like HomeGoods- but that isn't it..
Can anyone help me out here? I'm not sure if the all the stores closed down or if they just pulled themselves out of this area.

ugh, it is driving me batty- I can remember the location and where stuff was in the store- but not the darn name.

    thank you!

no, I wish they were still around. when they were still in business, I was not interested in quilting/sewing. but all I heard was good reviews about them. I wish they were still around. I used to go to Country Quiltworks in Montgomeryville-loved them. did you use to go there?

the store I'm thinking of was in NE philly on Frankford Ave -right off Woodhaven Road- a block east of the Franklin Mills Mall. the store has since closed 5+ years.

thanks for helping me. I hate it when I can't recall something and I can't let it go :)

The only one I remember in that area is a Hancocks Fabrics bet. Franklin Mills and 95. If you're looking for more than quilting fabrics, have you done 'fabric row'? Great adventure and lots of non-quilting things. Only one store I recall that had any quilting cottons. There are a few LQS in the southern NJ area that might be convenient for you as well.

Hey - glad I could help! It's amazing what our brains will do to us. And it's even more amazing that I remembered that having only been there one or two times several years ago. Wish it was still open as well.
