I was reading on msn this morning and ran across an important recall involving many snack food and ready made frozen recalls. It is here at the msn homepage.

Even if you don't eat the foods shown in the six slides - and I haven't ever seen most of them - the article says that over 10,000 foods were recalled. Sounds like the best thing to do is check for HVP on the labels of any snack foods, frozen foods and cold case dips you've bought recently.

I agree. I don't buy anything with MSG (makes me itch), but didn't know there was another flavor enhancer to avoid. I will be checking labels even more carefully from now on. With 10,000 foods, that's a lot of recalls!

Darn - I love the occasional Pringle. Well, I eat half the can when I have them, but it's usually only about twice a year.

Glad you survived to get the call, though!

If you use a the store's discount card at your grocery store, recalls of products recently purchased by you will show up at the bottom of your receipt.

I discovered that some dry soup mix had been recalled for possible salmonella contamination. In dry mix? Just bizarre. Obviously airing on the side of caution. Of course, we'd already eaten it.
