Question Has anyone quilted Deco Delight by Fabric Freedom?

I hope someone can help - I'm halfway through quilting my Deco quilt. I plan to add some flowers and/or dragonflies in some of the larger outlined boxes.
The problem is what to do with the stained glass border?
I don't really want to outline the boxes and am happy to do a bit of FMQ, but if I use the variegated thread I've used on the rest it'll stand out on the black bits. Same if I use plain black on the coloured bits

I'm not a very experienced quilter. Can anyone suggest what to do?

What a beautiful quilt! I would go with the variegated thread!

Ditto what COQ posted. I think that varigated thread quilted across the black fabric would be beautiful. The quilt is gorgeous, whatever way you choose to go.

I think it's beautiful without anything added.

I know you don't want to SITD but that's what I would do with the sashing. It will make the "windows" really stand out. If you don't want the quilting to stand out (though it would look great, IMHO), you can quilt the border in black. It's a lovely quilt you created.

you don't have to quilt the black. if you don't that will help it to stand out or you can quilt the black in black and the rest as you are doing it now. wonderful quilt nice job
