    i watched the video...it looks neat... I orderedthe ruler and a couple patterns...I think it would be a good way to use up scraps too. i guess it is really foundation piecing with a twist.

    Butterflywing,

    Good thought. But the sample blocks will be quilted before combining with the other blocks. I am planning on learning to free motion quilt and the book I have suggests using single blocks before moving on to a larger quilts. I dont want to waste the material and batting so I am thinking of how I can place these together and this method looks easy.
