I hope this doesnt come across as totally awful... but, I would really like to join a Quilting Group in my area that is made up of people closer to my age, the 25-45+ group. I have been in a quilting group before, with ladies 65 and up... and while I loved every minute, it is hard to create close "friend"ships. I created more of a grandma/grandchild relationship (still cherished).

Does anyone know of a group like this in the Yakima Valley area? Does anyone get where I am coming from?

I understand, why don't you set up a meet and greet in your area and post a note here on the offline section to find members in your area for sew days and you can start a quilt group

    Totally get it.

You might want to check if there is a Modern Quilt guild meeting near you.

Without offending anyone, the demographics generally skew a bit younger.
And you really don't HAVE to just be doing those types of quilt.

Great idea... I will chat with a lady that own a shop and has space, to see if she would allow using her space for something like that.
