Default Heart yo yos

I'm wanting to make heart shaped yo yo's. I've seen them done, and don't have a heart shaped yo yo maker.
My question is this...is it just a big heart you cut out and then gather? If you have any information about them, can you please comment. Thank you.

According to my heart yo yo maker by Clover, you roughly cut the heart shape around the heart shaped plastic after putting the 2 discs together before stitching. I haven't actually used it yet.

Every day there's some new term for me to look up and learn. Yo-yos? Off to google I go.
I saw a jelly-roll in a fabric store and bought it to send to my cousin without knowing what it was, except that it was beautiful fabric. There was a Japanese word on the package and I googled that but it meant something else, probably the brand or maker. It was on this board I became enlightened to many concepts. So thanks for your question - it helps me but I've no idea about your answer.

Default Now I know ...

I looked them up - my grandmother made me a doll made of yoyos when I was very young!
I have SO often thought about that doll...long gone. She also taught me to use old nylons for stuffing for dolls: soft and washable.

Yes you cut a heart shape- I have the heart shaped yo-yo maker and have used it many times. It makes great leaf shapes also.

Lynnie, can't help you. I had to comment that my mother made me a clown doll out of yoyos too when I was young. His name was Alfred. Made scrappy.

i have all the clover circle sizes for yo-yos......never was tempted to buy the other shapes, but now thinking for embellishments...might be a good thing...and maybe can use one of those jaf coupons! So lynnie....buy the "heart" and let us know if it's a good thing......I know I like using the circle ones.....so much faster and consistent

I have and use the heart-shaped yo-yo maker. The flower shaped one is pretty cool as well.
