I've had this problem and I believe it happens because of the weight of the white fabric. Usually it all disappears when it it's quilted. Make an extra block using all the tips you have been given. Then go ahead and sandwich it and make a practice mini quilt. Quilt it and do a quick binding( just zig zag the edge). Throw it in the wash and test it all out. If you're happy with how the test looks, then it's full speed ahead.

Thanks, Jennifer! That is what I decided to do. All the tips have been great. After watching some ironing tutorials, I am now able to press to the dark side and still get well matched seams. I will give you all updates.
Thanks for your help!

I don't have a go cutter, so I can't comment on that. Pressing is however a big deal. I would not change the stitch length for strength of the seams. I use a 2 so unravelling on the ends doesn't happen. Your quilt looks so beautiful. I would work on pressing and I think you're doing great!

I work with a 4H group and I have a couple of kids that let that left hand sneak back and pull the fabric through while sewing. It doesn't take much so when they keep that left hand off they get much better results. Do you have a table that keeps all of your fabric on the same level as you sew? That can really help to keep that left hand in line. Good luck with your quilt and your fabrics are lovely.

I am of the "heavier" white fabric group. A good quality cotton (like Kona) will probably solve the problem. Just my opinion.
Your quilt will be a stunner when finished! Love Marimeko fabrics, always have, always will. Can't wait to see the end result.
