Just saw this quilt in the pictures section and was wondering if someone could name the pattern for me.

The first one might be Kaliedoscope, and the second one looks like a brick quilt with mortar.

Sorry I should have specified. Was looking for the pattern in the black and white and gray quilt.

    Thanks

The black, white and gray quilt is Kaleidoscope.

Thank you! Any idea on where to get the pattern and how do you know how to place the colors to form the affect?

I ran across a free online pattern. You won't believe how easy it is, the trick is in alternating the values of grays or black and whites that you use. I'll try and find the page again. brb.

Link for pattern is here: http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/ka...uilt-block.htm

As I was saying, print out the pattern twice, then go back and you'll see the same block, just done in different shadings to achieve and completely different looking overall Kaleidoscope with many facets you can't see in the simple outlay above.

I believe there is another name for this it's something with sea in it. It has the illusion of circles. I just cannot remember the name.
