I agree with Jan, if you want the pattern to really pop, then either lighter or darker setting triangles would do the trick. Otherwise, I'd go with the fabric on the left as the pattern blocks separate from it better than they do from the fabric on the right.

Either way, it's a lovely quilt.

I guess I'm a little different, I really like the fabric on the right. I like the way the dark dots pick up the darker strips in your diamonds.

I, too, like the more subdued fabric for the setting triangle. The pattern is so pretty and you sure wouldn't want to take away from those lovely stripes......

Another pattern to add to the "to do list". It is dangerous coming on here and seeing all these gorgeous creations everyday.

If it was mine I would be going with darker "side bits" in a plain or tone on tone fabric to really make those pretty blocks a feature.

I'm in the left camp. They sort of "disappear" and let the design of the middle shine. However, you could make the design stand out more with a higher contrasting purple (lighter or darker). Not necessary, but you might discover you like it better.

Very pretty. Those are my favorite colors too.

I am torn between the two, but I think I like the one on the right just a bit better. Will be a beautiful quilt.

I love your colors and the pattern. I vote for the fabric on the left because it seems to meld all the other colors together.

I agree with Jan and Rob -- I think your setting triangles need a bit more contrast with the center fabric. Either darker or lighter would work -- I think I would prefer darker.

Thank you all for all the advice, I do so much appreciate it. Here is the finished top. I was wanting to make some soft, feminine and shabby chic all rolled into one quilt.
