Binding a Double-Sided Quilt
#1
I am making a double-sided quilt for my brother and his wife...Ohio State colors on one side and Michigan on the other. I have incorporated white into both sides and will use white for the common binding. My question is, are there any tricks to getting the binding to be close to the same width on both sides so it doesn't look too different? Thanks!

There shouldn't be that much difference in either side. I usually cut my binding 2 1/4" wide, double and press, sew usually about 1/4-3/8" seam and fold over and hand stitch it down. I also sometimes do a decorative stitch on the binding. Hope this helps. If not, I'm sure someone here can help you better.

If you blind stitch the binding on the back side so it just covers the line of machine stitching that attaches it to the front side, it will be the same width on both sides. If you follow the machine stitching line, it can't be anything but equal.
