I am having trouble choosing a quilt to applique the back.
I just don't know how to free style machine quilt to finish the applique Idea.

Pin wheel for children's hospital or add the applique pieces to the back and keep.

hands in air.
I have made a second bird and a few "petals" for the 1/2 flower to flow down to grass.
good ideas just don' t know how to quilt this idea.

Two quilts. These are both lovely and deserve the chance to live on their own. And what a neat idea for using the Dresden Plates for flowers, never thought of doing that.

I agree, make a second quilt. If you did want to do a two sided one, I think you would complete the applique on the backing before you put the quilt sandwich together. You said that you don't do free motion, but I think the straight line quilting you did would look good on the applique side too. Very pretty!

You have already done so much lovely piecing/applique, I agree TWO
quilts, and use any coordinating fabric, or a muslin backing on each.

They are both beautiful. Two quilts!

If you have enough fabric from the first quilt, you could make a
large pinwheel for the backing.
