I thought I had saved a free pattern for a layer cake quilt similar to this one
http://quiltexpressions.wordpress.com/page/3/
the quilt is about half way down for some reason it wouldn't let me copy and paste. I know it is simple but I can't seem to get around the math and seam allowance. I could have sworn it was at the Moda bakeshop?

This is very similar:

edit: it looked more like it in the picture than it did in the directions. This pattern has strips surrounding a square 4 patch block. The one you referred to looks more like strips sewn to the edges of a larger square. I'll keep looking. Maybe someone else will find it in the meantime.

This is similar, but made with charms instead of a layer cake. You could cut the layer cake into charms.

The second one does look like it but ithere are some prints I do not want to cutn that small, like the prints. I was almost debating on just sewing them all together but figured that was too boring. Thanks for helping me look.
