I want to do a quilt for my dad and have all kinds of blues. What is or are your favorite pattern(s)?

Log cabin is one of my particular favourites. Or how about a crazy quilt with all those blues - you could add a real dark blue for the 'grouting'.

Log cabin sounds like a good choice for a man's quilt in blues.

Jacobs ladder, you only need 2 colors so you can do it with the blues with something else. I am an old fashioned girl I would use white or yellow with the blue if I was making Jacobs Ladder for a man.

I love the Log Cabin and have just finished one in blues in the 'Zen II' fabrics.

Also, Trip around the World is a nice one... I really like the Eleanor Burns way of making this one.

I Have made two storm at sea quilts that are all blue and white. They are absolutely beautiful (See my avatar).

Log cabin is good, or how about a French Braid? Not really hard to do. Also, could do a Disappearing 9 Patch....very very easy and comes out great!

I bought a bolt of blue and a bolt of white about 15 years ago, waiting until I get good enough to make a carpenter's square quilt.
