After trying several different ways, I still find a thin pencil works the best but I know y'all have a better way. Who wants to share their way?

I use washable markers. Haven't had a problem yet.

I use washable marker and the Bohin mechanical chalk pencil. I have green and white chalk. This is what it looks like, I got mine at a quilt show and they had the white and green fine chalk.http://shop.knotsandbolts.com/produc...cil-624-0.html

I use the same Bohin pencil, it is great. I have tried everything, it seems and this is the best so far. It stays long enough to get it quilted but then it is mostly gone after you have quilted over the lines. The washable blue marker, makes me nervous, I am not convinced that they won't reappear in the future.

thanks for the link. I may look for that at the Quilting Expo next week. I used a Clover white soft pencil for my last quilt but it wore off before I could quilt very far. I hate marking as I go but that seems to be the only way I can make it work.

I use a Fon's and Porter mechanical pencil. It comes with dark and white lead, and always works great.

I use a pounce pad or a disappearing marker.

I use a washable marker by Dritz. I know you can get it at JoAnn's.

I use the Fons & Porter mechanical pencil. It comes with dark and white lead, and I love it. I had tried so many different things over the years,, but this seems to work on all colors.
