I hear some negative comments about quilts by some who are picking it apart with their eyes. Why do people do that? I do butt in and say, Hey, this quilter has a quilt in a quilt show and I'm standing here looking at it! There is no negative about that.
I may not agree with the judges decision on some of the winning quilts but I keep my comments to myself.

You first need to find the information about the show. Some require a specific size of rod pocket. Some require a label be attached. Some required photos. Need to decided wisely what class is best for your quilt. I entered many shows. I NEVER pre-washed my fabric. Make sure your piecing is perfect along with the binding. You might want to enter a local quilt show or the county fair.

The idea of a photo is so important. Many shows required it with the entry form. You definitely want to keep a copy yourself.
A tip given at our guild is to study the entry categories closely and make sure your quilt is a good fit for the category in which you enter it.
