I got a bunch of 3X4 zip lock baggies at the dollar store. I put the thread and bobbin (if there is one) in the baggie. Then I throw it in a tub. I have 3 plastic tubs, neutrals, hots & cools. I probably have over 100 spools stored this way and I don't have a problem finding what I want. Keeps the thread clean, untangled and out of the light.

The easiest andn cheapest method I know is to put a Q-tip in the spool hole and add the bobbin over the Q-tip.
    Good Idea!

Don't have enough bobbins to keep like that. I use up the bobbins on the next piecing project if I can.

Just bought a nifty parts container at Harbor Freight to keep my different machine bobbins in. Cheap too!

Some of these ideas are GREAT.

I used my DD (when she was little I learned this) soft hair ties. You know the cloth covered rubber bands. I put it around the bobbin and the spool of thread. Keeps them together and pinches the bobbin thread so it doesn't come unwound. I put the spool on a wooden spool rack there is usually a enough clearance between the spools.

Oh, I have been pondering this topic myself! What a lot of great ideas!!!! I have been tossing bobbin and spool into a tupperware container since they were just all over the place... I am going to try all these ideas out! Thanks a big bunch!

I just use a rubber band and loop it around the bobbin and then loop it around the spool. I store them in a plastic cases by color of the thread.

I now buy prewound bobbins and use Bottom Line so it doesn't matter whether the bobbin matches
Back in the days when I did match bobbin to top thread, like It'sJustMe, I used a pipe cleaner.
