----a quilt which is backed with fleece and sandwiched with warm and natural?? I am thinking of FMQ,but had better have a practise first.

I would prctice first. It is simple on the longarm, but I don't know about on a domestic. Good luck!

The fleece will try to stretch and pucker on you so pin or baste it really well. This type of batting is a good choice as I find it lies much flatter with less tendancy to pucker than a polyester batt. Do you even need to add batting? The fleece is a lot heavier and warmer than just using cotton and you may not want or need that much weight and warmth. Take your time quilting, too much speed causes more puckers. This will be a really cozy quilt.

Sadie mae and Shelbie--thank you the reason I was wanting it a bit thicker it's for my 2 year old grandson whose bedroom is quite cold even tho the heating has on.
