Default How to Make a ribbon for quilt shows

Some time back some one here posted on how to make a ribbon award for quilt shows. Naturally I saved it and now when I need it I can't find where it was saved at. Is there anyone who remembers that post and can direct me to where to get those directions? Thank you so much.

Our guild formed at the local museum, so our award ribbons honor that. Many help sew them. These are my contribution

This would be a good ribbon for our quilt show coming up. We have made many coasters like this.
Layer a square wrong side up that will be the inside, the batt, and then what will be the bottom right side up. Lay the four triangles on, tucking the last one under the first one. Then we sew all around through all the layers. Turn it right side out and poke out the corners.
Sometimes we folded the 5 inch squares in half and put them on like that. And a few times I sewed the outside like an octagon. Those were really cute, but smaller.
You slip your stemmed wine glass into the center under all the folds, or use it as a coaster.
I don't know how the center of that was made, but would like to know.

Maybe I will try the octagon. Still haven't found the one that was posted here.

Here are the awards we made for our quilt show earlier this year. They were fun to make with our embroidery machines and the winners were pleased that the category was listed on the award.
