Well, I guess I could post a picture, after all. This example is 'adjusted' to include embroidery, and has 3 3/4" squares folded diagonally added to the corners.

If you need some jeans, let me know. I have a whole trunk of my husband's old jeans that I keep saying I'll use. They're pretty good because he wears a "larger" size and there and good sized usable pieces.

Love your pocket quilt. I have made 3 of the rag jean quilts, will have to try this one.

Thanks, GeeGee. I got the original pattern from a dear friend who was 99 and still quilting ! I have made these for friends who have lost their spouses -- I use their jeans. also I have made 4 of them for benefit auctions. Always seem to be a hit.

WyNative - what do you use for backing? I can't tell from the pix do you tie or quilt?

did you use any of the newer stretch type jeans or only the pure cotton ones for your pocket quilt?

I use sheets for the backing... flannel if I can find them at a reasonable price. I only use the 'old-fashioned' regular denim. And I tie them using pearl cotton. Good luck ladies -- they are sooo much fun to make !
