Congrats! I upgraded to the 7700 a few weeks ago - love love love it!
One of the things I like to do is to create a 'Stitch Map' for myself. Take a 4 or 5 inch width-of-fabric cut - I used cream muslin - leave it folded and stick a scrap of batting between the layers for a little mini quilt sandwich. Then do a line of each stitch that's on your machine. Amazing how different they can look stitched out compared to the teeny diagram on the display.

congratulations---ive had mine 2 weeks--she purrs--i made a mess of my first bobbin wind so looked at you tube there is a great vidio i learn better from seeing--leah day on you tube--is worth watching too--enjoy+++

Thank you & yes I did get it from them. I have been looking for over a year now doing the leg work on which I liked best. It won out. I think I will be able to grow into it. I do FMQ on my little machine now so I am excited about the harp size.

i got one two years ago October and it was a wonderful decision. No buyer's remorse here. It has made sewing a real pleasure--though I enjoyed it before. You can do just about anything you can think of to do with it.
My only suggestion...don't get all enthusiastic about the cleaning and pull out the wick in the bottom under the bobbin thinking it is lint. I did that!

I got a 7700 from my DH for Christmas last year - he actually went to the dealer ALL BY HIMSELF and bought it! To some of you, this may not seem like a big deal, but if you knew my husband......
Anyway, I love this machine!! It's so much quieter than my Bernina and I love the 11" throat. FMQ is a breeze. I haven't even begun to try out all the bells and whistles because it's so fun to just sew on it. I got the 1/4" foot and a SID foot for the Accufeed, both of which are wonderful.
If I had any complaint about the machine, it would be that it's a little heavy to carry into a class or retreat. Easily solved by the purchase of a wheeled carrying case (or I just take my smaller Bernina to class...)
