I have a AccuQuilt go fabric cutter starter kit & die & needing your thoughts
I used it once to cut two strips. It just is not my kind of thing. I just got caught up in my one of my friends frenzy that had one that I really should get it. That was about a year ago. I would like to get out of it at least close to what I paid for it which was about $350.00. What would you list it at? I am putting on our sale board at work.
I also have a Baby lock Sophia that I bought about 6 years ago, which only has about a total of 10 hours use. With that I have memory card and the converter as well as 7-8 rolls of stabilizer that only a couple have been opened but still have most of the stabilizer there (I thought getting all that was a good idea at the time) as well as 10-15 design cd's and a stash of thread to boot. I had it cleaned last summer and so it is ready to go to work. A friend is interested in buying it. Would $350 be too much to ask for it?
I am trying to get rid of some of the things I just have no need for.

When people buy used, they are taking a risk. Even items listed in excellent condition can have broken parts. That is why you really can't expect to get what you paid. Many times they can get the same items new for less than you paid.
if you sell on eBay you get "what the market will bear". Normally this is a fair price. That is why eBay is a good indication of an items worth. After you find the item, filter on sold items.
good luck!

I doubt you'll get anywhere near that for it but I hope you do. i sold my machine only (no dies and only the accessories that came with it) for $75. I kept my dies since I bought a big shot pro to replace the Go.
What all came with the starter kit?

The current Accuquilt Go! starter kit sells for $250 on the website:
http://www.accuquilt.com/shop/fabric...ic-cutter.html
Prices on the Go! have come down in recent years, especially since the company came out with the Go! Big electric version.
I agree to check out eBay sold listings for the sewing machine. To do this, you need to sign into your eBay account (easy to create one if you don't already have an account). Search on the item you are looking for, then look along the lefthand side of the screen so you can check the option "completed listings" under the "Show Only" category. This will bring up all the listings for the last 30 days or so (maybe longer; not sure). Be aware that only the prices in GREEN have actually sold. Prices in black were asking price of items that did not sell.
Are you a member of a local quilt guild? That can be a good place to advertise items like these for local sale. My old quilt guild had a table at the entrance where members could place flyers for items they wanted to sell.
Edit: Are you absolutely sure you want to get rid of the Go!? I didn't like mine at first, in part because it was hard to crank, but also because I just wasn't used to it. However, the first time I used it to cut triangles, I realized how useful it is. I sewed the best triangles in my sewing career simply because they were all cut accurately with all the dog ears off; made lining them up very easy. I have since found that I love the applique dies for machine applique freezer templates; cuts the freezer paper very quickly and accurately. Even though I didn't love the machine at first, I have come to really enjoy it.
Edit 2: Just want to mention I'm not sure that the current "starter kit" on the Accuquilt site comes with the same die or set of dies that your set came with. Be sure to compare to see if the dies are the same ones.

I'm embarrassed to add on yet again to my already long post. Just wanted to mention that I did a search of completed listings on eBay for the sewing machine and came up with this "sold" listing for a Babylock Sophia:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Babylock-Sof...wAAOSwLVZVz5EI
If your machine is similar, I would think $350 would not be too much to ask.

Prices really came down as well when the came out with the electric go, it helps sell the electric ones and those who had the go and then bought the electric caused an abundance and that's why the price of the go has came down so much. Its the supply and demand thing.

Show only
Returns accepted
Completed listings
Sold listings
But remember when you drive a car off the lot, it immediately loses it full value. You are selling something used so don't expect to get 100% off your money back. Good Luck.

I purchased an Acuquilt Go! with the starter die and a Mix and Match set for 350 dollars off of Craigslist. It was all brand new and still in the original wrappers. So the cutter and value die and 8 other dies were included along with 3 mats and a die pick. This bundle sells for 492 dollars new.
