    I have been thinking

    about doing a quilt with a large image/medallion in the middle. Maybe a large mariner's star? Do any of you have any favorites? I'm not sure how large of a quilt I want to make.

    The last medallion quilt I made (really, the only one I made!) had about a 21 inches center block. It ended up being about a queen size after all of the borders.

    I've been wanting to do the same thing, but I always balk when it comes to choosing the fabric. The ones I've seen on here are outstanding, but I woud need help with fabric choices. I did get Eleanor Burns book and she makes it all look so easy to do.

    How about a Carpenter's Star. It is my next quilt to make and is just half square triangles.
