There are blocks that I like to look at but not make. Top of the list is now the Pinwheel.

Do I notice a hint of 'now I know why people don't do these thingys with points'? LOFLMBO

My daughter for her first quilt did one called Scottish Stars. She used 3 Sisters Fabric and it is my favorite one that she did. I think it had 22 pieces in each block and there were 90? blocks. She said after that she hated doing anything with points. And hasn't made a pinwheeel since.

Sound like you speak from experience.

Please post what you made. I bet it's beautiful.

While I'm doing pinwheels I ask myself all the time - why did I pick this pattern. I feel the same way right now about the log cabin I'm working on. I'm really hating it.

I decided to sew up some of the block of the month deals that I have had sitting around, one is that darn pinwheel. Took it apart 4 - 5 times and the center still won't match up lol. I have done other pinwheels where I had no problems at all getting the center to match up perfect.
    Go figure LOL.

The blocks that I am sewing up will be for free motion practice. They are perfect size to learn things like feathering, echoing etc.
This way they no longer take up space but become productive.

This is precut fabric, when I cut it myself I match the points.

I just cut what seems like a million triangles for a quilt of all Jinny Beyer fabrics and then started worrying about all those bias edges, not to MENTION matching up lol
I starched the heck out of them!!! :D:D

If you look at Rhonda's tutorials, she shows an easy way to get them to behave.
