    Mom had a Singer like yours, but a few years 'younger', maybe 41 or 42, & she had the same cabinet - not one I often see on ebay, Craigslist, etc. I grew up sewing on it in the 50s & 60s.
    I now have Mom's cabinet but it needs work.
    My younger brother got it when we split Mom & Dad's things among their 4 kids many years ago. He did not sew & used it in his laundry room - bleach, detergent, etc sat on it for years, unbeknownst to me. (He lives in another state). When he offered to return it to me since I sew, I was thrilled - until I saw what had happened to that beautiful old piece. I cried.
    Seeing your lovely cabinet & sewing machine gives me hope that I can restore Mom's. Thank you so much for sharing.
