I love to hand quilt. I am working on a quilt right now for my granddaughter. I am using tricot (the stuff that slips are made from). I remember my little brother having a trioct quilt. They are very nice. I am backing with a piece of poly-cotton blend.
I want to do one for my friend as well. I have been teaching myself machine quilting, but when we go on vacation, I want to have something to do in the RV as we are driving. I have also taught myself handpiecing as well.
I don't get to work on it as much as I would like, as I crochet also, but it sure is fun.
There is one site I like for the tricot quilts, as they are wholecloth quilts and that is mandldesigns.com. They are located in Oregon.

I've tried "NuSkin" and "Liquid Bandage", and those sticky circles, but they don't help much and sometimes make it worse. Any suggestions, tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I just finished 409 batik yo-yo's and am hand sewing them onto black background strips with perle cotton thread. I'll machine sew the strips together and then hand quilt it. So far, it looks pretty good. I love handwork!
