I went to the fabric department in Walmart to pick up some thread and one piece of fabric. Then I went in search of another item in the store. I left my DH there to wait for it to be cut. When he didn't meet me up front at the check outs, I started looking for him. I met him half way up the isle. He had bought himself 19 different colors of solid fabric for his block quilts. Now, what do you think about that????????

His and hers fabrics - that's really funny!

Actually I think it's awesome that he picked out all his own fabric. It shows that he's genuinely interested in his quilt - and just maybe enough to do some work on it himself!

Oh! He makes his own tops. After he retired and he got the yard in shape, I taught him how to sew. Now, I can't stop him. But, he still won't fill his own bobbin. I usually give him my scraps or the end cuts for his quilt tops but solid colors are something that scarce around here. I just can't find a lot of pretty solid colors. They seem to all be gone when I get to the store. But, he certainly found some. Don't know where because I had looked for some myself. Go figure.
