I love trying new quilting techniques.

I love new quilting techniques too. I take every workshop/class offered in my area. My last class was the Mono Bag class. My DD loved it and now all her co workers wants one. I told her to quit taking items I make for her to work. LOL. I don't have time to repeat making items, too many new ones to learn to make. The Mondo bag is a good money maker if you sew to sell.

I love the 1/4 circle blocks made from the Crazy Curves templates by Elisa's Backporch. No pins! You can make Drunkards Path and all kinds of patterns with them. I've done 3 so far, and will be doing more. Here are 2 I've done.

I am insetting circles like a mad woman. Recently I bought the Cheryl Phillips Circle-A-Round template and I simply LOVE that technique. The only downside is that the project never ends. For every circle you inset, there is a circle 1" smaller of the background fabric. Now you have to find a new background for it and so on and so on.

I too love new techniques! I have just begun a quilt on which I am learning to hand piecei. The blocks I am making are called Carolena's Dove in the Window. This project is full of Y-seams which I have never done, as well. What fun to learn new techniques!
