I would also go with the darker, blue or burgandy

But I love your block colors. Very nice choice.
I agree, have to do the same even for the binding. Sometimes the color you never dreamed of winds up to be the perfect choice.

I would lay a few blocks out on various colors. Black would make those blocks pop (like stained glass), but it might not be the look you're after. A light color would continue the pastel theme. Grey, like the table they're on, would also be nice. They are very pretty blocks.

My initial thought was to go with white (a soft white, not a bright white). I'd also lay it out with a coordinating pink or blue and then decide. What is your backing fabric?

    I ditto this suggestion.

Absolutely agree and was wondering why no one suggested this. Only thing is, I would probably use dark rose or deep green instead of burgandy. Given the fact that your room is dark (at least I think that's what you said), I think those deeper colors would set it off beautifully.

Lost in fabric stash, Cherie

The yellow is the backing fabric. I like the blue polka dot, I can get some more. Most of the fabrics are from Barefoot Roses from Freespirit.

Never thought of white, but I tried it and it looks good, Like the dark rose too....

I thought blue polka dot too... Use something from the blocks to make it looked plan, otherwise it will look a little disjointed... IMHO

My thought was white, but after reading the soft pink and the burgundy and the reasons, those seem like good choices too. Sorry, not much help.
