I want to learn how to make different borders
#11
What a great question and the answers were fantastic. I went over to Amazon and bought one of the books ckcowl recommended. I'm actually enthusiastic about this!!!
:)
Especially since I've been starting to draft my own patterns.

Oh and here's another idea. Look at quilt blocks! Some of them make great borders on their own. Think about putting a small block on point for accent border. A small 4 patch, flying geese, log cabin, etc. Border can be what ever you want it to be.

Quilt University offers a free sample class that is about borders. You might want to take that for some ideas, too. http://www.quiltuniversity.com/registrar_free.htm

I just discovered a brick border; love it! Here's a link: http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/br...er-pattern.htm
As a note, I made my bricks 4.5", 5.5", & 6.5". It was super easy.
